Build multiplication facts from equal groups
These 20 questions practise the 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 tables. They combine earlier facts with Year 3 practice, and include a separate answer section.
- Draw an array for a fact you are learning.
- Count the equal rows and write the matching multiplication.
- Use a known fact to help with a harder fact.
- Check answers after a short set of questions and revisit mistakes with an array.
Try this example
For 4 × 8, first find 4 × 4 = 16, then double 16 to get 32. Draw four rows of eight dots to check.
England’s Year 3 programme introduces recall of the 3, 4 and 8 tables. The 2, 5 and 10 table questions on this sheet provide revision.
