Choose the right lined paper for writing
This printable uses 8 mm line spacing, 28 ruled lines and a name-and-date header on A4 paper. Use the preview to check whether that spacing suits your child’s writing.

- Print at 100% or actual size to retain the intended 8 mm spacing.
- Try one sentence before printing several copies.
Try this example
For spelling practice, write a word on one line and a sentence using it on the next. For a story, plan the beginning, middle and ending on spare paper first.
If letters feel cramped, choose wider lines. Choose picture-box paper when a drawing will help your child plan what to write.
